Kashmir in Summer
Day #1
Arrival in Srinagar and Shikara Ride
- Arrival at the Srinagar Airport; meet our representative and drive to Srinagar and Check into the hotel .
- Enjoy a 1 hr shikara ride in Dal Lake .
- On return visit a local Handicrafts Showroom for hand-knotted specialty silken carpets, shawls, jewelry ornaments .
- Overnight stay in Hotel .
Day #2
Excursion to Sonmarg – Meadow of Gold
- After breakfast proceed for full day excursion for Sonmarg .
- Ponies can be hired for the trip up to Thajiwas glacier, which is a major local attraction during the summer .
- Drive back from Sonmarg to Srinagar .
- Overnight stay in Hotel.
Day #3
Visit to Gulmarg – Meadow of Flowers
- After breakfast drive to Gulmarg (distance – 56 kms – 2 hrs) .
- Enjoy the view of Nanga Parbhat .
- Have a short trek up to Khilanmarg (3-4 hours trek) or enjoy the scenic view of Kongdori on a Cable Car Known as Gondola (on direct pay basis) .
- Drive back to Gulmarg hotel. Overnight stay in Hotel .
Day #4
Drive to Pahalgam via Scenic Routes
- After breakfast, drive to Pahalgam via Pampore, Avantipura and the village of Bijbehara .
- We switch from the national highway at Khanabal and drive through the second largest city of Anantnag .
- In Pahalgam check-in at the hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure .
- Overnight stay at the hotel in Pahalgam.
Day #5
Mughal Gardens Tour and Houseboat Stay
- After breakfast, check out from Pahalgam hotel .
- Drive to Srinagar and enjoy the site scene of the famous Mughal Gardens – Cheshma Shahi, Shalimar, Nishat Garden, Shankaracharya Temple .
- Overnight stay in Houseboat .
Day #6
Departure from Srinagar
After breakfast, enjoy the morning in Srinagar and drive to Airport for onward destination.
