Day #1
ARRIVE GUWAHATI
Arrive Guwahati airport by flight. Meet upon arrival and drive to hotel for check-in. Evening visit Kamakhya temple – Situated atop the Nilachal Hills, the foremost shrine of Assam, Kamakhya is an ancient seat of Tantrik and Shakti cults of Hinduism – The temple offers grandstand views of the river Brahmaputra and its surroundings – The reigning deity here is Goddess Parvati (Sati). Temple Timings: Daily from 08:00 hrs to 13:00 hrs and then from 14:30 hrs to 17:30 hrs. Evening we will suggest an optional Golden Sunset Cruise on the Brahmaputra River (direct payment basis- starts at 4.30 PM. Timings may change due to season) Return to hotel. Overnight stay at your hotel.Â
Day #2
GUWAHATI – SHILLONG (APPX. 115 KMS/ 3 HOUR DRIVE)Â
After breakfast drive to Shillong en-route we make a stop at the majestic Umiam Lake or locally known as Barapani, surrounded by sylvan hills and wrapped in the beauty of an assortment of green Khasi-pines and the azure blue skies. Indulge yourself in a speed boat ride available for tourist and run by the Meghalaya Tourism department. (On direct payment basis). Arrive Shillong and start the local sightseeing. The places of interest includes city’s own Ward’s Lake is popular for short garden walks & boating. Later visit St. Catholic Cathedral & the Don Bosco ethnological museum where one can have an idea about ethnological diversity of north-eastern states of India. On time, check-in at hotel. At evening on your own you can take a stroll in the Shillong happening place “Police Bazaar”. Overnight at Shillong hotel.Â
Day #3
SHILLONG – CHERRAPUNJEE (APPX. 60 KMS/1 ½ HOUR DRIVE)
After breakfast drive to Cherrapunjee en-route visit to Elephant Falls & Mawkdok View Point. OPTIONAL: You can also opt for Zip lining at Mawkdok Bridge (on direct payment basis) In Sohra, we will visit the Arwah Caves, NohKaLikai Falls, Mawsmai Caves, Thangarang Park, Seven Sisters’ waterfalls (one of the longest in India), Dainthelen falls, Wei Swadong falls, (There may be less volume of water in the waterfalls from Oct to Mar due to scanty rainfall) On time, check-in at hotel. Overnight at Cherrapunjee hotel.Â
Day #4
CHERRAPUNJEE – MAWLYNNONG – DAWKI – SHILLONG (APPRO 90 KM- 3 HOUR DRIVE) Â
After breakfast we will drive first to Mawlynnong. Mawlynnong – cleanest village in Asia. Arrive Mawlynnong and having a walking tour of the village. Visit the Single Decker living Root Bridge inside the jungle, visit and enjoy the locally made watch tower made up of bamboos. This watch tower gives you 360 degree view of the surrounding area. Dawki which is the International border between India and Bangladesh. We will visit the crystal clear Umgnot River where you can try the boat ride (on direct payment basis). Visit Indo- Bangladesh Friendship border (Tamabil). Drive ahead to Shillong and check-in at hotel. Overnight at Shillong hotel.
Day #5
SHILLONG – LAITLUM- JOWAI – SHILLONG (ABOUT 160 KMS / 02-03 HRS)Â Â
After breakfast drive to the Grand Canyons of Laitlum, a delightful place which will mesmerize you. Enjoy the breathtaking view of the lush green hills and a sprawling meadow, its steep winding stairways that bend their way deep downhill leading to a small village. Laitlum is not crowded like other tourist destinations. It is a beautiful and unique valley with a pleasant hilly weather. Later drive to Jowai 64 kms from Shillong is the administrative headquarters of Jaintia Hills as well as the commercial centre visit Nartiang Monoliths biggest collection of monoliths or Megalithic stones in one single area is to be found north of the Nartiang market, Durga Temple at Nartiang, Phe Phe falls, Krang Suri waterfalls. Krang Suri falls is amongst one of the most scenic waterfalls of Meghalaya. The falls is blessed with shimmering blue waters and lush green picturesque surrounding. Later back to your hotel . O/N.Â

SHILLONG – GUWAHATI AIRPORT DROP (ABOUT 130 KMS 03-04 HRS)Â
After breakfast at appropriate time drive to Guwahati and transfer to Guwahati airport to catch your flight to onward destination
